Women’s Cycling

Typically, when it comes to bike handling in potentially risky situations such as manoeuvring through traffic, descending, cornering and riding in groups, women have a stronger instinct to protect ourselves – we assess these situations differently. As a result, women can take longer to build the skills and confidence we need to achieve our cycling goals, whether they are racing, sportive participation, club riding or simply being able to go out on the road for a solo or sociable group ride.

I have successfully coached women across a wide range of abilities and experience levels from teaching riding with cleats to fast pace team time trial skills and everything in between. I have spent many hours teaching on-bike skills to women and pride myself on successfully teaching even the most nervous riders!
